Why this blog?
A little bugging from my friends. But really, I want to be able to share the meals I make in my kitchen with everyone.


What are you cooking?
I like to cook variety. Give me some Italian, Mexican, Middle Eastern or Asian.. I have a special place in my heart for Asian food. (you see, im half korean)
I also eat a mostly healthy diet. My grocery cart is always full of lots of fresh fruits, and vegetables. However, learning to cook healthy meals without sacrificing flavor is an art many people believe does not exist. Sorry, Paula, but you don't need a stick of butter to make everything taste good ;)

How do you balance your love for cooking with a healthy lifestyle?
Since I have grown up as an athlete the majority of my life, I have a natural competitive drive. However, I find that exercise is the BEST stress reliever. Sure, it may hurt at times but i love it! As a nurse, I know all the health benefits that can only come through exercise.
My trick is to mix it up. Running, Swimming, Spin, BodyPump class, and Pilates (my new thing).

Most importantly, a healthy life means balance. You should never focus too much on food or too much on exercise. Learning to use portion sizes, exercising regularly, knowing when to rest, and indulging a little is what I do.
